Privacy Policy
This English version is provided for reference only. The Japanese version is the authoritative text and shall prevail in case of any discrepancy. This policy is governed by the laws of Japan.
AllClip Inc. (the "Company") hereby establishes the following Privacy Policy (the "Policy") regarding the handling of customers' personal information (meaning "personal information" as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003), hereinafter the "APPI"; the same shall apply hereinafter).
Article 1 (Personal Information Collected by the Company)
The "personal information" of customers that the Company collects includes the customer's name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, and so on. The Company may also collect transaction records and payment-related information containing the customer's personal information through dealings between the customer and the Company's partners (including information providers, advertisers, and ad-delivery destinations; hereinafter "Partners").
Article 2 (Situations in Which Personal Information Is Collected)
The Company collects personal information from customers in the following situations.
- When a customer registers to use the services provided by the Company on its website (the "Service") and enters required information.
- When the Company obtains information through the customer's use of the Service.
- When a customer provides information by inquiring with the Company via email or telephone, or by submitting the inquiry form on the Company's website.
Article 3 (Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The Company collects and uses personal information for the following purposes.
- To provide and operate the Service.
- To respond to inquiries from customers (including identity verification).
- To send emails informing customers of new features, updates, campaigns, and other services offered by the Company.
- To send necessary notifications such as maintenance and important announcements.
- To identify customers who have violated the Terms of Service or who attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse them service.
- To allow customers to view, change, or delete their registered information and to view their usage status.
- To charge customers for paid services.
- For purposes incidental to those listed above.
Article 4 (Changes to the Purposes of Use)
- The Company may change the purposes of using personal information only when the new purposes can reasonably be considered related to the original purposes.
- If the purposes of use are changed, the Company shall notify customers of the new purposes by the method designated by the Company, or shall announce them on the Company's website.
Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
Except in the following cases, the Company shall not provide personal information to any third party without obtaining the prior consent of the customer. This is, however, without prejudice to cases permitted by the APPI or other laws.
- When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property and obtaining the consent of the individual is difficult.
- When it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound upbringing of children and obtaining the consent of the individual is difficult.
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or a party entrusted by such authority in performing affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual's consent would impede the performance of such affairs.
When the Company has notified or announced the following items in advance and has filed a notification with the Personal Information Protection Commission:
- That provision to third parties is included in the purposes of use.
- The items of data to be provided to third parties.
- The means or method of provision to third parties.
- That provision of personal information to third parties will be suspended upon the request of the individual.
- The method by which requests from individuals are accepted.
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, recipients of information in the following cases shall not be deemed third parties.
- When the Company entrusts the handling of personal information, in whole or in part, to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use.
- When personal information is provided in connection with a business succession due to a merger or other reason.
- When personal information is jointly used with specific parties and the fact of such joint use, the items of personal information used jointly, the scope of joint users, the purposes of use, and the name of the party responsible for managing the personal information are notified to the individual in advance or otherwise made readily available to the individual.
Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
When an individual requests disclosure of his or her personal information, the Company shall, without delay, disclose such information to the individual. However, if any of the following applies as a result of such disclosure, the Company may decline to disclose all or part of the information, and shall notify the individual of such decision without delay. A handling fee of JPY 1,000 per request will apply to disclosure of personal information.
- When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party.
- When there is a risk of significantly impeding the proper conduct of the Company's business.
- When it would otherwise violate any law or regulation.
- Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information, such as history information and characteristic information, shall in principle not be disclosed.
Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
- If the personal information held by the Company about a customer is incorrect, the customer may request the Company to correct, add to, or delete the personal information (collectively, "Corrections") in accordance with the procedures established by the Company.
- If the Company determines, upon receiving a request as described in the preceding paragraph, that it is necessary to comply, the Company shall make the Corrections without delay.
- When the Company has made Corrections pursuant to the preceding paragraph, or has decided not to make Corrections, it shall notify the customer accordingly without delay.
Article 8 (Procedures for Disclosure, Correction, etc. of Personal Information)
Customers who wish to request disclosure, correction, etc. of personal information ("Disclosure, etc.") under the preceding two articles shall do so by submitting a Company-designated form to the email address below. The Company will send the prescribed form to the customer after the customer first contacts the email address below.

Article 9 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)
- When an individual requests that the use of his or her personal information be suspended or erased ("Suspension of Use, etc.") on the grounds that the information is being handled beyond the scope of the purposes of use or has been acquired by improper means, the Company shall promptly conduct the necessary investigation.
- If the Company determines based on the results of the investigation in the preceding paragraph that it is necessary to comply with the request, it shall promptly suspend the use, etc. of the personal information.
- When the Company has suspended use, etc. pursuant to the preceding paragraph, or has decided not to do so, it shall notify the customer accordingly without delay.
- Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, when Suspension of Use, etc. would entail substantial cost or otherwise be difficult, and alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the customer can be taken, the Company shall implement such alternative measures.
Article 10 (Amendments to the Privacy Policy)
- Unless otherwise provided by law or in this Policy, the Company may amend the contents of this Policy without notifying customers.
- Except as otherwise provided by the Company, the amended Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on the Company's website.
